Long time no blog.
I went on retreat this past Ash Wednesday, and had an awesome experience. I drew a lot as prayer and meditation as I usually do. This is just one of a few images that came out of the day.
Thanks to the Office of Youth Ministry of the Arlington Diocese in Virginia for putting such a great retreat together along with Danielle Rose, who is just a gem of a talent and beautiful soul just eager to share her love for Jesus and our Blessed Mother.
Danielle's song "Crown of Thorns" was still in my mind when I was thinking of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It's His redemptive blood our broken hearts need to be whole again in Him.
On a side note: I'll be collaborating with friend and fellow youth minister, Em Anderson supplying art for her Lent blog "Rend Your Hearts Not Your Garments". Come to see more of my art and stay for some prayer. It won't take you more than 5 minutes, I promise.

Tanto tiempo.
Fui a un retiro este miércoles de ceniza pasado, y tuve una experienca extraordinaria. Dibujé mucho a manera de oración y medtación como usualmente hago. Este es una de las pocas imagenes del día.
Gracias a la Oficina de Ministerio Juvenil de la Diócesis de Arlington en Virginia por organizar tan gran retiro junto con Danielle Rose, quien es na gema de talento y una bella alma anciosa por compartir su amor por Jesús y nuestra Santísima Madre.
La canción de Danielle titulada "Corona de Espinas" aún sonaba en micabeza cuando pensaba en el Sacrado Corazón de Jesús. Es su sangre redentora la que necesitan nuestros corazones para estar reparados nuevamente.
En otro tema: estaré colaborando con una compañera ministro juvenil, Em Anderson creando arte para su blog de Cuaresma titulado "Rend Your Hearts Not Your Garments". Vengan a ver más arte y quedense por las oraciones. No les tomará más de 5 minutos, se lo prometo.
