(En español abajo.)For years I've wanted to convey the pain and suffering in a crucifixion image without being gory and relying more on an instinctual, emotional reaction to the image. Bold and graphic where the cross itself wasn't even necessary. After numerous sketches over a handful of years, as soon as I did this drawing I knew it was what I'd been looking for.
It's another example of a Meditation/Prayer drawing. This one from the NYWC in Pittsburgh last Fall. I've been wanting to make postcards and large format prints for sale, but since I've not done that in time for Holy Week, I thought I'd show you here. Por años he querido el dolor y sufrimiento en una imagen de la crucifición sin ser muy sangriento y con una reacción más instinctiva y emocional a la imagen. Atrevido y gráfico donde ni la misma cruz es necesaria. Después de numerosos dibujos a través de varios años, en cuanto hice este dibujo sabía que era lo que había estado buscando.
Es otro dibujo hecho como Meditación/Oración. Este también lo hice en la NYWC en Pittsburgh el otoño pasado. He estado esperando hacer postales e impresos de formato grande par avender, pero como no he hecho eso a tiempo para la Semana Santa, Pensé mostrarselas aquí.
